Vintage Turkish Runner Rug, 3.3 × 13.3 ft Rug, 101 × 406 cm

Woven about sixty years ago in Kırşehir, this extra-long kilim runner arranges eleven linked hexagons down a smoky brown ground, each edged in pale saffron and filled with soft rose and muted cream blossoms. The stepped ivory guard on either side resembles the teeth of a saw—traditional symbols of protection—while slim peach bars at the outermost edges tie the whole into a quiet, contemporary palette. Hand-spun wool and vegetal dyes bring delicate abrash: dusky pink fades into blush, charcoal shifts to warm espresso, and tiny flecks of butter yellow appear like wildflowers along the Anatolian steppe. A refined piece for hallways, loft corridors or alongside a long dining table.
