Handwoven on the eastern shores of Lake Van, this 60–70-year-old kilim runner captures the lake’s shifting hues and nomadic heritage. Rows of octagonal medallions—woven in deep sapphire, crimson and olive—float across a soft ivory field, recalling windswept waves at dawn. Each medallion is bisected by tribal “H” motifs of protection, while the wide guard borders of stepped triangles echo surrounding mountain silhouettes.
