Their repeated placement creates a strong sense of rhythm while allowing each individual motif to retain the subtle irregularities characteristic of hand weaving.

The spaces between the large cartouches are filled with smaller floral and geometric ornaments against a deep navy and dark-toned ground, creating dramatic contrast with the lighter central motifs.

Several finely patterned borders surround the field. The principal border features repeating small ornamental forms on a muted blue ground, while narrower geometric bands frame the composition and add depth.
