Woven 60–70 years ago in the high villages of Denizli, this kilim blooms like a forest at dusk. A central tree-of-life rises through a deep crimson field, its branches crowned with stylised flowers and ram’s-horn charms for strength. Around it, bands of lilac, saffron, olive, and jet black ripple in protective zigzags, each tiny motif a whispered prayer from its maker.

Natural plant dyes—madder root, walnut husk, wild indigo—have mellowed into rich, harmonious tones, while subtle abrash and gentle wear attest to decades of village life. Hand-spun wool on a wool foundation gives the rug a supple drape and a warm, organic touch.
