Hand-woven some 60–70 years ago in the hill villages of Emirdağ, this vibrant kilim sings with the heat of Anatolia’s sun-baked plains. Diamonds in saffron, sage, and plum ignite the red ground like campfire sparks, while the serrated borders recall distant mountain ridges guarding the plateau.

Each geometric motif is more than decoration: ram’s-horn symbols for strength, hooked charms for protection, and tiny cross-stars for guidance on the nomad’s road. Wool dyed with madder, walnut husk, and indigo has mellowed to rich, mellow tones, yet the rhythm of the weave remains quick and youthful—ready to brighten any modern interior with its ancestral energy.
