This 60–70 year old vintage kilim from Kırşehir embodies the sacred architecture of Anatolia’s weaving culture. The prayer-niche design rises with a graceful symmetry, representing a gateway between earth and spirit. Its central panel, woven in soft olive green, is surrounded by borders of crimson, deep brown, and sky blue, filled with protective motifs and fertility symbols.
Every color, every knot carries meaning — a language passed from mother to daughter, generation after generation. The wool has softened with time, and the slight variations in weave speak to its authenticity and soul.
