Handwoven in the Manastır region some 60–70 years ago, this kilim sings with echoes of mountain monasteries. Its field is alive with stepped diamond medallions in burgundy, saffron, and ivory, each framed by serrated black outlines that recall ancient stones and sunlit prayer halls. Bordering bands of geometric hooks and zigzags offer protection and balance, while the mellow wool dyes—madder red, walnut brown, and pomegranate orange—have softened to a harmonious vintage patina.
Every knot is a whispered prayer from Anatolian looms, embodying the discipline and devotion of generations past. Place this rug in your home to invite warmth, heritage, and the serene spirit of Manastır’s timeless landscapes.
