This 60–70 year old handwoven kilim originates from Sarış, a village in the Kayseri region known for its symmetrical beauty and sophisticated weaving culture. The field is adorned with rows of stylized floral rosettes, symbolizing spring and abundance — all framed by bold S-shaped amulets believed to protect against the evil eye.

Its rich palette includes earthy tones of terracotta, olive, deep charcoal, ivory, and golden ochre — colors naturally derived from roots and minerals. The central panel’s angular motifs create a strong tribal harmony, making this rug not only a decorative piece but a window into Anatolia’s layered symbolism.
