This striking vintage kilim originates from the Denizli region of western Turkey and dates back approximately 60–70 years. It features a beautiful mihrab (prayer niche) design, a common motif in the region’s prayer rugs, symbolizing spiritual orientation and divine connection.
Woven in deep burgundy, indigo blue, forest green, and cream tones, this piece also includes vibrant tribal motifs such as stylized “elibelinde” figures (representing female fertility) and hourglass forms along the borders. Each element in the rug tells a story of tradition, belief, and the Anatolian woman’s life woven into art.
Perfect as a spiritual accent, wall hanging, or a collector's piece. This kilim is 100% handwoven with naturally dyed wool, a timeless treasure of Anatolian weaving heritage.
