A rare and beautifully understated vintage handmade wool runner associated with the Kula–Uşak weaving tradition of Western Anatolia, distinguished by its long proportions, minimalist field, and naturally aged red palette.

Unlike densely patterned Anatolian rugs, this piece has an unusually open composition. The long field is covered with small repeating ivory stylized motifs arranged rhythmically across a rich red ground. A narrow, softly patterned border frames the design without overwhelming the spacious central field.

The color palette is dominated by brick red, crimson, faded burgundy, ivory, soft beige, and muted earthy tones. Natural tonal shifts across the red field create visible abrash, the subtle color variation that develops when different batches of hand-dyed wool are used during weaving. This variation is an important and desirable characteristic of traditional handmade rugs.
