This vintage Turkish kilim was handwoven in Malatya Akçadağ, a region renowned for its intricate geometry and radiant color combinations. Created in the 1960s–70s, this long Anatolian runner is a perfect reflection of Eastern Turkish artistry — bold, rhythmic, and filled with symbolic meaning.

Design & Details
The composition features large diamond medallions symbolizing protection and fertility, framed by continuous miniature motifs that echo traditional Anatolian storytelling. The palette — burnt orange, deep crimson, amber yellow, ivory, and walnut brown — reflects the colors of Malatya’s sunlit plains and natural dyes derived from pomegranate, madder root, and walnut husk.

Each line and hue expresses balance and movement, creating an impressive harmony between precision and spontaneity. Woven entirely from hand-spun wool, this kilim showcases both durability and softness, with a naturally aged patina that enhances its authentic charm.
