This vintage Turkish kilim originates from Kayseri, one of Central Anatolia’s oldest weaving centers. Handwoven during the 1970s–80s, this large-scale masterpiece embodies the balance between precision and warmth that defines Kayseri craftsmanship.

The composition features five vertical panels filled with stylized floral and tree motifs, representing fertility and protection — ancient Anatolian symbols of life. The weaver alternated terracotta, cream, brown, and charcoal tones to create a rhythmic visual structure that feels both traditional and modern.

The intricate hooked borders frame the kilim beautifully, while the interior design’s symmetry radiates calm energy. Every hue was achieved through natural vegetable dyes, giving the surface soft gradations that have matured gracefully over the decades.
