Vintage Large Afyon Kilim, 199 x 324 cm / 6.6 x 10.8 ft Kilim

This striking vintage Turkish kilim was handwoven in Afyon, an important weaving center of Western Anatolia, during the 1960s–70s. It represents the height of rural Anatolian artistry — a bold geometric composition infused with life, rhythm, and sunlit color.

Design & Details
The kilim features zigzag diamond medallions running across the field, symbolizing energy and continuity. The colors — amber yellow, terracotta red, rose pink, black, and ivory — were derived from natural vegetable dyes, harmoniously blending into a vibrant yet balanced palette.

Each handwoven line creates a rhythmic texture that captures light beautifully, giving the surface a sense of movement and depth. Its generous size and powerful symmetry make it a perfect statement piece for modern, bohemian, or rustic interiors.
