This authentic vintage Turkish perde kilim, also known as a curtain kilim, was handwoven in Cihanbeyli, Konya, approximately 60 years ago. These traditional Anatolian textiles were originally used as curtains, room dividers, and practical decorative coverings inside village homes.
The design features broad horizontal bands in muted brick red, deep black, vivid orange, soft green, and rich burgundy. Its bold color-block composition creates a striking yet balanced appearance, while the natural tonal variations give the piece an unmistakably handmade character.
Woven from natural wool and colored with natural dyes, this large vintage textile reflects the simple and expressive character of Cihanbeyli weaving traditions. It can be displayed as a statement wall hanging or used as a room divider, decorative bed covering, large textile accent, or floor kilim.
The kilim has been professionally cleaned and is ready to use. Subtle irregularities, tonal variations, and age-related characteristics are natural elements of an authentic handmade vintage textile.
