Woven in the heart of Central Anatolia during the mid-20th century, this long Konya kilim runner is a striking play of geometry and saturated tones. Bold horizontal bands in alternating tones of madder red and dark walnut brown pulse across the field, outlined sharply with flame-orange zigzags that create a serrated rhythm—a traditional tribal motif used to ward off the evil eye.

Each band tapers into stepped arrowheads at both ends, evoking a visual heartbeat or the spines of a protective talisman. This symmetrical repetition—simple yet powerful—is characteristic of utilitarian village weaving: timeless, durable, and symbolic.

Woven entirely in wool and dyed with natural plant-based pigments, the piece carries gentle abrash (natural colour variation), lending a sense of movement and depth to the flat weave. At over 4 metres long, it's a commanding yet versatile runner—ideal for hallways, entryways, or modern interiors seeking a bold tribal accent.
