This antique Turkish kilim from the western part of Turkey features a bold tribal composition with large geometric medallions set across a richly patterned field. Its deep, time-softened palette includes burgundy, aubergine, rust, indigo blue, terracotta, ivory, and earthy brown tones, giving the piece a dramatic and authentic Anatolian character.
Handwoven from wool and dyed with traditional natural root dyes, this kilim is approximately 100 years old. The dense patterning, aged surface, and beautifully mellowed colors reflect the skill of traditional village weaving and give the rug a strong decorative presence with true antique appeal.
Its long rectangular format makes it an excellent choice for a living room, dining area, bedroom, study, or layered bohemian interior. The repeated hexagonal medallions create rhythm and structure, while the darker palette adds warmth, depth, and collector-worthy character to any space.
As with all handmade antique kilims, small signs of age, natural wear, and slight weaving irregularities may be present. These details are part of the kilim’s authentic handmade beauty and antique identity.
