This 60–70-year-old kilim comes from the Anamur-Mut region of Southern Anatolia, where weaving is more than a craft—it's a legacy passed through generations. This compact piece showcases the region’s bold storytelling tradition through repeating butterfly-like motifs, symbolizing transformation, freedom, and resilience.

The sharp zigzag bands in ivory and deep burgundy represent mountain paths and protective energies, while the cross-winged symbols echo balance and feminine strength. Its earthy palette of terracotta, olive, plum, and cream reflects the soil, stone, and sky of Anatolia’s rugged terrain.
